Cathedral Commons is a mixed-use project that includes a 56,000 SF Giant Grocery Store, first floor retail and a mix of apartments and townhomes.  The process to redevelop this site spanned over 20 years including a 10 year planning and approval process.  There was extensive neighborhood opposition related to size and scope of the project during the process.  The project successfully opened in late 2014 with grocery store,  CVS pharmacy and residential units with additional portions opening this year.  The project is a joint venture between Giant Food and Bozzuto Development Company.

National Capital Area Chapter of the APA will be sponsoring a tour of the project with members of the development team including:

Jeff Kayce, Vice President, Bozzuto Development Company

Phil Feola, Director, Golston Storrs Attorneys

Tracy Lower, Director of Civil Engineering, VHB
Paul Moyer, Director of Planning, VHB

The event will begin at 6:30 pm, we will meet in the plaza at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Newark St NW.  Following the tour, participants are invited to enjoy a drink or bite to eat at one of the local restaurants. This event is free – but space is limited so reserve your spot today by clicking this link!
